Varying levels of terrain and obstacles will challenge beginners and experienced players alike while enjoying a scenic view of Heritage Park. The 18-hole, 54-par course is available for public use year-round. Please note that for the enjoyment of all patrons and pets, all JCPRD Off-Leash Area Code of Conduct/Rules (PDf) apply. Closures are intended to allow for a higher level of maintenance to the area without compromising dog, patron, and staff safety. Weekly maintenance is scheduled every Tuesday from 5 a.m. The off-leash parking, gates, sidewalks, restrooms, and drinking fountains are ADA compliant. The parking lot and restroom are located near the S Black Bob Road and West 161st entrance. The off-leash area has two paved accessible parking spots near each of the three gated entrances into the off-leash area. The looped trails system is a combination of both paved and hiking trails, with a portion of the trail being accessible. There are also tall shade trees and a grassy play area. The off-leash area is a maintained grass field with varied levels of terrain. The 30-acre off-leash area includes a fenced open area, a small pond and a looped trail. The 40-acre lake is great for fishing and boating. JCPRD fishing and/or boating permits, and state fishing licenses (per state regulations) are required before utilizing the lake.

Heritage Park has 10 varied sized shelters. Please note: the playground located between shelters 2 and 3 will be closed for replacement beginning Sept. Purchased in 1979 through voter-approved bonds, the park was dedicated on July 4, 1981. The 1,234-acre park includes 10 picnic shelters, 40-acre lake, 30-acre dog off-leash area, play areas, outdoor exercise equipment, 18-hole disc golf course, softball, football, and soccer fields, and the 18-hole championship Heritage Park Golf Course and driving range. Heritage Park consists of a wide range of features and amenities for all to enjoy.
